Mytilini - Kalloni

Kalloni is located in the middle of the island and is an economic and commercial center.  The coastal areas of Kalloni Bay are an excellent shelter and breeding ground for rare and protected bird species. Kalloni's saltwater islands attract many birds (palm trees, flamingos, etc.), giving spectators a spectacular sight. Its crystal clear plain, with its six rivers, supplies it with plenty of goods.  Groundwater and spring water water its vineyards and gardens.
